HUGEL brings out Snoop Dogg as Coachella surprise guest

Snoop Dogg performs a new song during HUGEL’s Coachella set.

HUGEL brought out the legendary West Coast rapper, Snoop Dogg, during his set at Coachella Weekend 1. This was a massive moment for Friday’s kick-off and a precedent to the unexpected nature of Coachella special guests.

Snoop Dogg joined the French producer and DJ on stage at the Sahara Tent on Friday afternoon during his 4:50 pm set time. HUGEL is globally known for his Latin house sound and style and by bringing out Snoop Dogg infused a West Coast hip hop energy that perfectly matched the high energy set.

Snoop Dogg had reportedly walked on stage with his signature style and a lit joint in his hand, which brought the crowd to a roar. On stage, Snoop Dogg performed and debuted a brand new single as well as classic hits, for which HUGEL had massive edits for. Big Sean was also another mega star who joined HUGEL on stage to sing on the remix of his hit “I’ve been around.”

HUGEL wasn’t the only artist to bring out major industry heavy hitters. While the entire weekend was packed with guest appearances, Friday’s performers set a high bar for the rest of the festival.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists include Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Gorgon City, Prospa :)
