Insomniac reveals 30+ art cars for World Party Parade in Las Vegas

The Insomniac parade marks a new chapter in a decades-long relationship with Vegas, this time taking it to the streets to celebrate EDC.

Insomniac Events founder Pasquale Rotella announced this week a World Party Parade that will roll down the Las Vegas Strip on May 14 at 6 p.m., just days before EDC Las Vegas celebrates its 30th anniversary, bringing more than 30 art cars, hundreds of performers, and live music to one of the most iconic stretches in the world. The event will be completely free and open to all ages.

Rotella described it as something he and the Insomniac team have long envisioned as a celebration of love, unity, and dance music culture that will feature renegade sound systems, colorful/fun performers, and a strict PLUR policy. “Opening this up as a free experience means more people can be part of it and feel that connection, energy, and sense of community,” he said in an Instagram post announcing the event.

Rotella also said the parade is a way to express his love for the city of Las Vegas itself, a city he credits as a major aspect of Insomniac’s growth over the years. “This is about giving back to the culture, to the community, and to the city of Vegas, which has been such an important part of our journey,” he wrote.

For many attendees, it may serve as their first introduction to the world of dance music culture. Rotella said that prospect is part of the appeal, calling the experience transformative and therapeutic for first-timers and longtime fans alike.

The World Party Parade arrives as EDC Las Vegas prepares to mark three decades as one of the premier electronic music festivals in the world. The annual event, held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, has drawn hundreds of thousands of attendees each year from across the globe.

With EDC Las Vegas drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world each year, the free street parade offers a rare chance for casual passersby and first-time visitors to stumble into the culture organically, with no wristband required.
