The fallout from a chaotic night in Florida unfolded as a shooting took place involving renowned rapper Offset, leaving him hospitalized. The incident took place outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where what should have been a typical night out quickly spiraled into headlines. Think that’s shocking? Lil Tjay has been charged with disorderly conduct associated with Offset’s shooting.
Authorities responded to the scene after reports of a fight in the valet area, which later escalated into gunfire. While Offset was hit and was taken to a nearby hospital with stable injuries, Lil Tjay, born Tione Merritt, was arrested shortly after and later released on bond, maintaining a notably calm demeanor despite the incident.
Police reports indicate the situation began as a physical altercation involving multiple individuals. Investigators have alleged that members of Lil Tjay’s group have been directed to engage in the fight, during which an unidentified man discharged a firearm. Notably, Lil Tjay has not been charged with any weapons-related charges.
Offset, widely recognized as 1/3 of Migos, had been in headlines all over before. His career included chart-topping hits with the trio and himself, and a high-profile relationship with Cardi B. Then came another tragedy in 2022 with the loss of another member of Migos, Takeoff. This latest shooting has added another layer to an already turbulent narrative.
Meanwhile, Lil Tjay publicly denied involvement in both the altercation and the shooting itself, even appearing to question the premise of the accusations when approached by reporters. His legal representation has reiterated that he has neither fired a weapon nor been charged in connection with the shooting, urging the public to avoid speculation.
