Trampa addresses sexual assault allegations after four years

New statements from Trampa and SKisM bring renewed attention to the 2021 allegations and the timeline of events following the Shanghai festival claims

UK-based dubstep producer Trampa has broken his silence following years of controversy tied to a sexual assault allegation first raised in 2021. The claims surfaced when photographer Sam Kern posted on social media, alleging she was assaulted after a festival in Shanghai, naming Trampa among others.

In a recent statement, Trampa, whose real name is Rikki Moore, addressed the personal and professional impact the allegations have had over the past four years. He described being removed from festival lineups and stepping back on the music industry entirely, citing ongoing mental health challenges during that period.

While maintaining that no assault occurred, Trampa also referenced internal communications from the time frame in question. DJ and artist manager SKism, who identified himself as having related digital property, also commented on the matter. In a video shared online, he presented email exchanges between the photographer and Trampa’s team.

The video posted by SkisM suggests legal counsel was involved early on, despite no public statement being made at the time. Online discussion has since focused on the timing of those exchanges, as well as the fact that the allegations were made years later. According to his statement, emails received by his team during the alleged time frame are part of his decision to speak publicly.

Though only some emails were shared, the video also indicates there was more that could be shared in a different format. SKisM states he will not debate with people online about the controversy. Trampa acknowledged that his silence over the years led to speculation and concern.

He shared that his decision not to speak out sooner was influenced by a desire to protect his family and preserve his mental health. He added that addressing the situation now is part of an effort to close that chapter.
