Lee Foss celebrates 10 years of Repopulate Mars with Chicago beach party
Repopulate Mars turns 10 and there’s no other way to celebrate than by throwing down by the lake, on the founder’s birthday with an intergalactic lineup and a sellout crowd incoming.
Chicago is in for another massive beachside rave. Repopulate Mars celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary set for July 18th at Castaways by the lake. The milestone event is set to bring an “intergalactic” lineup to be announced. With tickets already on sale, Chicago house-heads will need to gear up soon as it’ll be a guaranteed sellout—especially with the added twist of it doubling as a birthday bash for its founder, Lee Foss.
At the center of it all, Lee Foss is the key architect of modern house music who has spent over a decade shaping dancefloors worldwide, and especially the house music we add to our Spotify playlists every day. From co-founding the influential Hot Natured project to commanding global stages, the Chicago-based DJ has built a reputation for blending underground credibility with mainstream appeal. Essentially, he’s been making cool house music without trying too hard.
Repopulate Mars, the record label under his ownership, grew into one of the most consistent hit factories in dance music. It has served as a launchpad and powerhouse over the years, delivering chart-topping records on Beatport and club staples that have dominated festivals and late-night sets in Ibiza. The imprint hasn’t just followed trends—it has quietly dictated them in today’s dance scene.
Artists like Chris Lake, Sidepiece, and Joshwa have helped define the label’s signature sound, releasing tracks that have become essential weapons for DJs across the globe. Meanwhile, Mau P found early momentum through the label, releasing “Drugs From Amsterdam,” evolving from a breakout record into a global anthem that is now a superpower in the warehouse raves.

Now, a decade in, Repopulate Mars has come full circle—returning to the people with a waterfront milestone celebration to reflect on the journey from niche imprint to global force. And if history has proven anything, it’s that when Lee Foss throws a party, it’s rarely just a party-it’s a house rave.
With Chicago’s skyline as the backdrop and Lake Michigan for the party breeze, this sums up as the perfect spot to celebrate Lee Foss on another year around the sun, and a 10-year anniversary on the record label he has created, centering all the ingredients of a summer-defining moment. While tickets are on sale now, this’ll be an anticipatory moment to warm up for Arc Festival ahead.
