Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Tape B drop massive collab track
Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Tape B have released a huge new track titled “Word Scramble” on Friday, March 27th, the day after Deadbeats’ 10-year celebration event in Miami.
There are collab tracks, and then there are collab tracks that create a moment where three lanes of bass music converge into something absolutely massive. Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Tape B have released their much-anticipated collaboration, “Word Scramble,” after teasing it for months. First heard at Decadence Denver, the track is a prophecy from the dubstep Holy Trinity, composed of Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Tape B.

The track first came alive during their insane B3B at Decadence Denver on New Year’s Eve, where it didn’t just land, it stuck. Like an earworm in bass heads’ ears. Since then, it’s been floating through sets, popping up in clips, and quietly turning into one of those IDs people keep asking about without ever getting a straight answer. No release date, no confirmation, just energy building in the background. The slow burn of anticipation before the real release is part of why this lands the way it does now, with energy. Waiting with bated breath, bass heads finally have the track they have been scouring the internet for.
It arrives at a pretty defining moment across the board. Zeds Dead are stepping into a massive run with “Journey of a Lifetime” while closing out a ten-year chapter of Deadbeats and eyeing a 2027 pause. Subtronics is operating at full scale right now, heading into another global stretch with Coachella in the mix, continuing to tighten his grip on dubstep without losing his edge. And Tape B is no longer the new name people are putting on lineups. Tape B has become a powerhouse on his own, moving into amphitheaters this summer and proving it translates at that level.
