Timmy Trumpet announces split from wife Anett Tomcsányi

In a heartfelt social media statement, Timmy Trumpet announces a separation from his longtime partner and reassures fans that he is still touring and making music.

After nearly a decade together, Timmy Trumpet and Anett Tomcsányi have sadly officially parted ways. Amid the split, Timmy Trumpet is opening up and announced he is continuing to tour.

Australian DJ Timothy Jude Smith, known as Timmy Trumpet, didn’t sugarcoat anything in a deeply personal statement on Instagram.

“The last year of my life hasn’t been easy to talk about. I haven’t been ready… and I’m not even sure I am now,” he wrote. “Anett and I are no longer together.”

“I’m sharing this because we shared so much of our lives with you. I proposed on a livestream, we stood on stages all around the world… I truly believed that was forever. Life doesn’t always go the way you expect.”

Timmy Trumpet has had a few hiatuses previously, due to injury and mental health, though this moment feels more grounded in reflection.

Many fans in the comment section shared excitement for this new chapter, as he also hinted at rediscovering his creative spark and true love for music and creation.

He reassured his fans, “I stepped away from releasing music. Not because I didn’t have it, but because it didn’t reflect where I was in my life. So I started again,” he shared. “Reconnecting with music became my therapy through all of this. And it’s taken me somewhere very different.”

Even as Timmy Trumpet processes this personal shift, his music continues to dominate, only this time in the MLB. Just days before his announcement, “Narco” made headlines again as Edwin Díaz brought the anthem to his debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m an LA-based concert & festival diehard! My life was forever changed after my first festival, Coachella 2019, and then fully spiraled (in the best way) after my first EDC in 2023. I have attended over 140+ shows... I am the ultimate stage hopper and will always make it to the barricade. I love dubstep, house, trance, techno, bass, you name it. If I’m not at a show, I’m working as a social media manager & photographer, or probably listening to music, learning how to DJ, planning my next festival, or watching a Gordon Ramsay cooking show with my cat. I am so excited to be writing for Exron and sharing my love for music. If you're reading this, thanks for being here and reading my stuff!
