Yookie celebrates one year sober and 100-pound weight loss
YOOKIE opens up on sobriety and a 100-pound weight loss transformation.
YOOKIE has shared a powerful personal milestone, revealing that one half of the duo has reached one year of sobriety while also losing over 100 pounds. The update has arrived as both a celebration and a reflection, offering fans a rare glimpse behind the chaos of their high-energy sets and into the discipline it has taken to get there.
In a candid post, the artist has admitted, “Usually I find it hard to be vulnerable on socials,” before explaining that about a year ago, something shifted. “I realized I was taking a lot of things in my life for granted and I needed to change. I needed to really lock in. For myself. For my family. And for the fans.” The moment has marked a turning point—less “afterparty mode,” more “accountability era.”
The journey has not happened in isolation. He has credited his brother and fellow YOOKIE member for walking the same path, noting, “He’s been right here with me going through the same sobriety and health journey… I don’t think I could have done this without him.” While the post has highlighted individual progress, it has underscored a shared commitment behind the scenes.
Beyond sobriety, the transformation has extended into physical health and consistency. “There was a time in my life where I had completely given up on myself,” he has shared, adding that he never imagined becoming “someone who’s sober, consistently in the gym, and losing weight.” Now, the results have spoken loudly—though he has insisted the work is far from finished.

The message has also resonated with fans who have followed YOOKIE through packed shows and chaotic drops. “Whenever I feel like giving up, thinking about all the love everyone shows us is something that keeps me going,” he has said, offering encouragement to others: “If anyone out there is struggling just know there’s always a light somewhere ahead.”
Importantly, YOOKIE has made it clear their shows remain a judgment-free space. “If you want to come rage sober you’re not alone… and if you want to party responsibly, that’s your choice too.” With more goals ahead, he has emphasized, “I’m not at my goal yet… but every day I’m trying to be the best version of myself.” And honestly, that might be the heaviest drop yet.
