World Party Parade receives approval from Clark County for EDC’s 30th anniversary

World Party Parade has announced plans to light up the Las Vegas Strip as a free citywide kickoff to EDC’s 30th anniversary.

Clark County has officially signed off on the World Party Parade in preparation for EDC week. The new event will help celebrate Electric Daisy Carnival’s 30th anniversary in Las Vegas this May. The free spectacle will turn the Strip into an early EDC kickoff on Thursday, May 14. It lands the night before headliners return “under the electric sky” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 15–17.

County documents and local reports confirm that commissioners approved Insomniac’s application for the World Party Parade. The event is planned for the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the north end of the Strip. The procession is scheduled to start at 6 p.m and will run for roughly 80 to 150 minutes. That window surely gives fans time to line the boulevard and take in the production.

The route will begin at the RV transportation lot next to the Festival Grounds. Floats will travel south along Las Vegas Boulevard, then turn near Resorts World. From there, the parade will loop back to its starting point. Officials describe World Party Parade as a free, family-friendly activation. It aims to bring EDC’s color and creativity into the center of Las Vegas. Locals and visiting ravers are both in focus.

World Party Parade will feature approximately 15 floats organized into five themed groups. The procession will include costumed performers, entertainers, and marching bands in the roadway. Clark County estimates a crowd of about 30,000 people. This will be the first time EDC includes an official parade in its programming.

The debut parade arrives as EDC Las Vegas prepares for a milestone weekend. The 2026 edition honors three decades of dance music culture at the Motor Speedway. This year’s lineup also features major names like Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, Alison Wonderland, and Fisher. Furthermore, Kaskade, The Chainsmokers, Seven Lions, Sara Landry, Subtronics, Hardwell, Gryffin, and Zedd will join the bill. Certainly, EDC’s iconic mix of underground favorites and special back-to-back sets will round out nine stages.

With a fresh city-facing parade and three nights at the Speedway, EDC’s 30th anniversary feels especially charged. Undoubtedly, the anniversary weekend feels like a love letter to the community that built the festival. To scope out passes for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, head to their website.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
