Artists take flight from STEƎR Management after Shlømo, CARV, and Odymel allegations

Multiple hard techno artists have cut ties with STEƎR Management as misconduct allegations continue to ripple through the electronic music community.

The hard techno scene is undergoing a sudden shift as multiple artists distance themselves from STEƎR Management following sexual misconduct allegations allegedly involving Shlømo, CARV, and Odymel. The controversy has triggered widespread discussion across the electronic music community, prompting agency suspensions, public statements, and visible changes to artist affiliations.

The allegations reportedly gained momentum after Instagram posts shared by a former STEƎR associate circulated screenshots and testimonies from women alleging misconduct by several artists. These claims allegedly include sexual abuse, grooming, and physical assault, though none of the allegations have been confirmed in court.

In response, STEƎR Management announced it would suspend collaborations with artists allegedly involved while conducting a thorough internal review. The agency stated that “when allegations multiply and concern artists on our roster, inaction is not an option,” signaling its intent to assess the situation before determining next steps. Shortly after, STEƎR removed its artist roster from its website and cleared its Instagram account, further reflecting the seriousness of the moment.

Several artists formerly represented by STEƎR, including LESSSS, Creeds, Onlynumbers, 6EJOU, William Luck, and Nate Visstick, publicly confirmed their departures from the agency. In individual statements, some emphasized their commitment to fostering safe environments and expressed support for those allegedly affected.

Some of the accused artists have publicly denied wrongdoing. Shlømo, whose real name is Shaun Baron-Carvais, stated that he believes he is the target of a “campaign of slander and defamation,” and indicated he is pursuing legal avenues in response. Odymel, real name Antoine Lauffer, acknowledged that a preliminary investigation related to an allegation against him is reportedly underway, noting that no judicial decision has been reached and distancing himself from other claims circulating online.

As agencies, promoters, and artists reassess partnerships, the fallout continues to reshape parts of the hard techno community.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
