Infected Mushroom celebrates 30 years of psytrance with anniversary album

Continuing to evolve, IM30 features eight tracks that honor three decades of psychedelic psytrance innovation.

Infected Mushroom are entering a chapter of legacy, marking the duo’s 30th anniversary by releasing IM30 via Monstercat. For longtime fans and trance babies, this album is a full milestone and celebration of their lifetime stature in the psytrance scene.

Israeli producers Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen are internationally beloved and recognized as pivotal figures in psytrance. Together they have demonstrated the rare ability break free from the confines of EDM conventions and fully create their own rules and psyctrance hypnotic universe and inspire other artists to do the same.

Released Jan. 30, IM30 features eight tracks, including previously released singles “LA Beast,” “What You Know You Know You Know,” and “Lightweight,” alongside the album’s focus track, “New World Order.” Additional layered cuts like “Enjoy The Ride,” “No More Happy Endings,” “Mesumpelet,” and “AI Therapist” show Infected Mushroom’s continued evolution while still honoring their room.
“IM30 is more than a new album for us, it’s a marker,” say Duvdevani and Eisen. “It represents thirty years of creating, experimenting, touring, and constantly reinventing ourselves, all distilled into a single moment.”

Looking back on three decades, choosing to release IM30 on the 30th felt like an obvious choice for the duo: “This album reflects where we came from, where we are now, and the freedom that still drives us to keep pushing forward. IM30 is the starting signal for a global celebration of everything this journey through the international electronic music scene has meant over the past three decades, and of everything that’s still ahead.”

After a year of dealing with antisemitism and political unrest, Infected Mushroom remains grounded and in their core mission to “unite people through sound, creativity, and shared experiences on stage.” Rather than letting hate define them or take away from the music, they continue to build community and create new sounds together.

Instead of relying on legacy and influence, Infected Mushroom continues to experiment, push boundaries, and remind EDM fans that celebrating the journey is what it’s all about. IM30 is a beautiful culmination of their 30-year career, which isn’t ending anytime soon.

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m an LA-based concert & festival diehard! My life was forever changed after my first festival, Coachella 2019, and then fully spiraled (in the best way) after my first EDC in 2023. I have attended over 140+ shows... I am the ultimate stage hopper and will always make it to the barricade. I love dubstep, house, trance, techno, bass, you name it. If I’m not at a show, I’m working as a social media manager & photographer, or probably listening to music, learning how to DJ, planning my next festival, or watching a Gordon Ramsay cooking show with my cat. I am so excited to be writing for Exron and sharing my love for music. If you're reading this, thanks for being here and reading my stuff!
