Piri & Tommy announce end of duo project and cancel US tour

Piri & Tommy end duo project, US tour officially canceled while urging fans to seek refunds.

Piri & Tommy have officially called time on their duo, announcing the end of their partnership and the cancellation of their upcoming US tour. The news landed quietly but definitively, with the pair confirming that they will no longer be working together under the Piri & Tommy name. Alongside the split, the pair axed all scheduled US tour dates and advised ticket holders to seek refunds through their original point of purchase.

The duo shared on Instagram a post regarding the decision to part ways, writing specifically to their US based fans, “North American fans- i am so sorry i know you guys have waited so long to see us play, I did look into doing the tour on my own as Piri so you could still hear the music live but it was just looking SO expensive, being real with you guys it was gonna cost me about £50k in total including my visa and stuff, I feel like it’s good to be transparent about the cost of touring with you guys because that’s the reality of the situation, and with such a heavy cost then falling onto me as an individual rather than Piri & Tommy as a band, combined with the fact I’m kind of figuring out who I am outside of p&t right now and ALSO then combined with what’s going on in the US right now it just does not make sense at all for me to push on with the tour.”

While neither artist has gone into detail about the reasons for the split, the announcement frames the decision as a clean break rather than a pause. There’s no sign that the duo will reconvene in the future, and the cancellation of the US tour suggests a finalization and termination of the duo, rather than a slow fade-out.
