The two first met in March 2023 at an Oscars afterparty hosted by Guy Oseary, where a few inseparable hours sparked something lasting. Those early moments became the emotional blueprint for “Summertime Friends,” a song Taggart later wrote for The Chainsmokers, capturing the kind of instant chemistry that doesn’t need explanation. As Taggart later told Vogue, that fleeting night ended up shaping everything that followed.
Just under two years later, the couple returned to what they describe as their favorite place they’ve discovered together: Blue Mist Hotel. Tucked into the lush, tropical west coast, the setting felt intentionally untouched. The ceremony was intimate, barefoot, and grounded in natural beauty; less spectacle, more soul. Guests watched the couple dance in the sand, ride horses along the shoreline at sunset, and celebrate without pretense.
According to Vogue, Fonseca wore a white ruffled lace high-low gown by Schiaparelli, striking a balance between romance and ease. Taggart matched the mood in a billowy white shirt and black trousers, effortlessly beach-appropriate. Every detail felt curated but never demonstrative.
The proposal itself came a year earlier, in December 2024, at an Italian restaurant, where Taggart popped the question with a private five-carat diamond ring. But the wedding wasn’t about grandeur, rather it was about alignment.
The announcement came the next day via a sunset Instagram post, though it felt more offhand than headline-ready. A romance that skipped the dramatics and went straight for barefoot permanence.
