The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart marries Marianne Fonseca in beach wedding

Drew Taggart and Brazilian model‑entrepreneur Marianne Fonseca have closed out 2025 with an intimate beach wedding.

Drew Taggart and Marianne Fonseca closed out the year with a scene straight out of a dream. The Chainsmokers producer and the Brazilian model‑turned‑entrepreneur shared the moment in a joint Instagram Reel. The caption simply stated, “WE ARE MARRIED!”, as they danced and kissed on the Costa Rica shoreline.

The video shows the couple at golden hour, framed by waves and two beautiful horses by their side. Fonseca wore a breezy boho white dress, while Taggart kept it relaxed in a white shirt and black trousers, both of them barefoot. The setting mirrors what Fonseca had said she wanted: a tiny, low‑pressure celebration focused on “just the people we truly love.”

Taggart and Fonseca first crossed paths at an Oscars party in March 2023, hitting it off over an unplanned conversation. By late 2024, Taggart proposed over dinner at Giorgio Baldi, with a five‑carat diamond ring. On December 3, 2024, they shared a joint post announcing their engagement, paired with the all‑caps caption “HELL YEA!! 💍”.

As one half of The Chainsmokers, Taggart has spent the last decade stacking Grammy awards, chart‑topping singles, and festival headlining slots. Furthermore, Taggart has evolved from EDM breakout to a pop‑crossover mainstay alongside bandmate Alex Pall. Meanwhile, Fonseca grew up in Brazil and began modeling at 15. She then went on to front campaigns and covers for global fashion brands like Lancôme, Hugo Boss, Dior, Harper’s Bazaar. Now, she leads GENTE Beauty, a body‑care brand focused on helping women feel confident in their own skin.

In earlier interviews, Fonseca emphasized wanting a wedding that felt vulnerable and present rather than performative. Undoubtedly, their close-knit ceremony on the Costa Rican coast delivered on that vision. For fans who have followed the couple along their romance journey, the quiet sun-kissed announcement is certainly the perfect wrap to 2025.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
