Dzeko to launch a brand-new project in 2026 after 17 years

Seventeen years after betting everything on music, Dzeko is flipping the script again with a new project in 2026.

In a recent Instagram post, Dzeko announced his new project while looking back on the risks that got him here. Specifically, the Toronto-born artist quit high school and his part-time job at 16 so he could chase his dreams of being a DJ. He admitted he had no roadmap at the time, just an obsession with house music and a stubborn belief that it could carry him.

Those early risks eventually led him from local shows to international festival slots as one half of Dzeko & Torres. The duo spent the late 2000s and early 2010s headlining major music festivals and churning out high-energy big-room anthems. By 2016, he stepped out on his own under the Dzeko moniker, signaling the start of a solo chapter that would quietly build toward global crossover moments.

Dzeko’s solo breakout came in 2018 with “Jackie Chan,” a playful, radio-ready collaboration with Tiësto featuring Preme and Post Malone. The track rode streaming charts around the world, undoubtedly becoming a fan favorite. Folded into Tiësto’s “The London Sessions,” it earned multi-platinum recognition in several territories and pushed Dzeko into heavy rotation across main stages and radio alike.

Following that milestone, Dzeko stacked the catalog with originals like “Liberty,” “California,” “In Too Deep,” and “Sleepless.” Moreover, he has produced remixes for acts such as The Chainsmokers and Loud Luxury. Along the way, he also landed dream collaborations across genre lines, such as Steve Aoki, Lil Yachty, and Keith Urban.

Now, Dzeko is steering back toward the style of music that first made him fall in love with DJing. The yet-unnamed project has been in the works throughout 2025, teasing new collaborations and club-leaning material.

Dzeko paired his Instagram announcement with throwback photos from across his career. Furthermore, he closed out the post by framing the next chapter as both a reset and a celebration. Undoubtedly, fans can expect this seasoned producer to reconnect with the spark that first pulled him out of school and onto the dancefloor. To stay tuned, follow Dzeko on Instagram.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
