Zamna Tulum guide: Event lineup and travel tips for NYE and early 2026

Zamna Tulum is shaping up for another defining chapter during New Year’s Eve week and early January 2026.

With 2025 almost coming to a close, Zamna Tulum is preparing to emerge as one of the world’s most talked-about dance music destinations. For NYE and January 2026, the jungle-based event series is set to draw global crowds to Mexico’s Riviera Maya region, blending ethereal electronic music with destination travel, nature, and late-night into early morning adventure.

Unlike most music festivals and events, Zamna operates as a season-long experience rather than just a two to three-day event. The event brand’s headline events unfold across New Year’s Eve and throughout the beginning of January, with electronic music parties transforming the Tulum jungle into a whirlwind of immersive stages, art installations, and spiritual encounters.

The programming typically spans melodic techno, house, Afro house, and other unique, cutting-edge electronic sounds, making Zamna a paradise for international ravers who wish to combine their love for travel and music festivals into one unforgettable trip. With Tulum’s wide array of stunning beaches, captivating cenotes, wellness retreats, and more, Zamna presents the perfect escape for many.

Travel Tips

Where to Stay

Most travelers attending Zamna Tulum events choose to stay in Aldea Zamá, the Tulum Beach Zone, or Tulum Town (Pueblo) for convenient access. Those who prefer more upscale, beachfront experiences can splurge at popular locales like Zamna Beach Club (Casa Zamna/Villa Zamna), which connects to the main Secrets Tulum Resort, or their partner hotel, Kimpton Aluna Resort. January is the peak Tulum visiting season, so booking boutique hotels or resorts early is an absolute must. Airbnbs are also an option, but can be difficult to access from the Zamna event grounds. Playa del Carmen is also a popular location for a more affordable, yet further stay, with transportation options to Tulum.

How to Get There

Due to the tropical paradise’s high demand these past few years, Tulum now has an official airport, Felipe Carrillo Puerto Airport (TQO), which is the preferred airport to fly into. Cancún International Airport (CUN) is also an option, but it is about a 90-minute drive south to Tulum. Private transfers booked ahead of time are the most reliable option during NYE week, especially for late-night rides back to your hotel or Airbnb. Rental cars are also common, and rideshare and shuttle services are widely used during the Zamna season.

What to Pack

Although it’s winter during all the Zamna madness, expect warm, humid nights and long hours of dancing outdoors. Lightweight clothing, comfortable shoes suited for uneven terrain and unpredictable weather, and breathable fabrics are key. Insect repellent is a must, along with a portable charger and a pashmina or a light cover-up for late-night and sunrise hours. Tulum is known for its many travelers with fashion-forward rave looks, but comfort is also just as important.

Just a Venezuelan gal that grew up in Fort Lauderdale chasing her dreams. I've been in love with electronic dance music for as long as I can remember, and it has become both a passion and a form of inspiration in every aspect of my life. I've been with Exron since it was founded in 2017 and have had the privilege to support and work alongside some of my best friends. Some of my favorite artists are ODESZA, Kaskasde, Above & Beyond, Glass Animals, and Rüfüs Du Sol to name a few. Traveling all over the world to attend festivals is one of my favorite pastimes, and Electric Forest, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland have been an absolute dream to experience.
