Mersiv’s LA show unexpectedly ‘shut down’ by law enforcement

Mersiv’s highly anticipated Audiosphere tour stop in Los Angeles shut down early due to venue complications.

In partnership with B-Side Los Angeles, Mersiv’s Audiosphere show in LA was set to be a full experience. Plans included a night market, a Burning Man–inspired chill-out zone, and live performers spinning fire. The show was ultimately shut down due to unexpected issues with the venue.

The Audiosphere stop was slated to be the biggest show in B-Side history. The production was set to feature a fully custom eight-point laser setup alongside a massive full 360-degree sound system. Mersiv himself was expected to control the sound direction live using a joystick.

B-Side LA has built a reputation for organizing elaborate events in unconventional spaces, ranging from laundromats and rooftops to warehouses. The collective is also known for incorporating DJ battles, dancers, and performance artists into their shows. On paper, their creative approach seemed like a perfect match for Mersiv’s experimental Audiosphere tour.

Unfortunately, the night did not go as planned. B-Side released an official statement explaining that the venue was undergoing heightened review related to its ownership and prior incidents. This information was not disclosed before the event. The organizers took accountability for the situation and reassured fans that they will continue to work only with trusted venues moving forward.

Mersiv shared his disappointment with the outcome while also expressing his intention to return to Los Angeles. B-Side confirmed that refunds would be available, noting that any funds not requested would go toward covering production costs and paying artists and vendors involved in the event.

Despite the shutdown, fans who attended shared that the show was going exceptionally well before it ended. Some even commented that they would forgo refunds to help support future events of this scale. Mersiv is set to finish out his tour in Texas, closing out the year on the road.

My name is Alejandra Benitez and I was born and raised in the DMV. Having close proximity to Washington D.C. means I am accustomed to a fast paced environment as things are constantly changing. For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively. Some of my favorite artists include Levity, Rezz, Tape B, Disco Lines, and Sub Focus.
