Tutus meet techno: Germany’s Bootshaus to present a new ‘techno ballet’ with a live score and all-night party
The iconic German venue Bootshaus rewrites the rules of nightlife with a live techno ballet.
A Techno Ballet Odyssey marks a bold new chapter for Germany’s iconic Bootshaus, merging contemporary ballet, live techno composition, and an all-night club experience. In collaboration with the Berlin Ballet Company, the fully immersive experience will take place across three nights on February 26, 27, and 28, 2026.

The production is designed as a captivating journey beginning with a pre-show party where a DJ set will gradually transform the venue from club floor to a theatrical stage with choreographed moments. From there, the centerpiece performance features a 70-minute contemporary ballet staged directly within the crowd. This isn’t your typical night at the club; dancers will move across the venue on three elevated platforms, and literally pull the audience into the narrative with them, set to techno music.

The music is composed and performed in real time by Belgrade-based DJ and producer Marko Nastić. Nastić blends raw techno power with disciplined classical ballet anthems, creating a dramatic environment unlike any other rave or ballet experience. Following the ballet performance, the night pivots back into a full-on club scene with an after-show party with music from Pauli Pocket, Sudo, and Handmade.
The narrative of the performance follows a mythic odyssey where the main figure loses himself in the night and seeks a path beyond in reality. Instead of texting “afters?”, the figure looks inward and navigates identity and reflection through choreography and hypnotic visuals on the stage.

The boundaries between the stage and the dancefloor will fully collapse with A Techno Ballet Odyssey. The production will create a world where expression and music collide, experimenting with performance and nightlife. A dramatic night out will never look the same; the ballet challenges what a rave can look like in the future.
