Australian DJ and producer Timmy Trumpet has announced a temporary pause from touring, marking the first time in his career that he has stepped back from the DJ decks (besides a small break in July 2025 due to an ankle injury). The globally recognized artist, known for his vivacious performances blending live trumpet with up-tempo electronic music, shared the news directly with fans in an emotional message that underscored the toll of an exceptionally difficult year.
“Taking a break for the first time in my career,” Trumpet penned on Instagram. “This has been the toughest year of my life for reasons I’m not ready to share publicly.” While Timmy Trumpet did not elaborate on the specific circumstances behind his decision, he emphasized that the experience has given him a deeper appreciation for mental health and its importance, both personally and professionally.
The announcement resonated strongly with fans, in part because of how central touring and fan connection have been to his identity as an artist. “I live for the stage, I live for my fans, but I’m only human,” he shared, asking for understanding as he recalibrates. As part of this hiatus, Timmy Trumpet confirmed he will be stepping away from social media and pausing live performances for the coming weeks.
Another major development accompanying the break is the status of his long-running radio show, SINPHONY Radio. A staple for mainstage and hard dance fans worldwide, the program has reached an impressive milestone (i.e., its 250th episode), which will also serve as its final broadcast, at least for the time being. “This week’s 250th episode of my radio show will be my last,” he stated, signaling a strong commitment to the hiatus. While the wording sparked concern among listeners, his overall message suggested a true break rather than a permanent end.
Despite the break, Timmy Trumpet’s note was filled with gratitude and affection for his community. “LOVE YOU GUYS SO FKN MUCH… brb,” he concluded, achieving equilibrium between vulnerability, optimism, and cheekiness. At present, his appearance at Neon Countdown in Thailand on December 30–31 remains noted as his next scheduled show, pending how his hiatus unfolds.
