William Black celebrates 13 years sober with inspiring message to fans

For anyone struggling, William Black’s sober journey is living proof that brighter days are worth fighting for.

Electronic music producer William Black marked a powerful personal milestone this week, celebrating 13 years of sobriety with an emotional message that resonated deeply across his fanbase. Taking to Instagram, Black shared a heartfelt reflection on his journey, posting a carousel of images, including one of his younger self, paired with a message filled with gratitude, honesty, and hope.

“13 YEARS SOBER TODAY! I’m incredibly grateful for the life I have,” he wrote. “If you would’ve told the kid in the 2nd slide he’d have to get sober to see his dreams come true he would’ve probably laughed in your face. If you’re in that dark place right now, don’t give up. There’s a version of you waiting on the other side that you can’t even picture yet and they are worth fighting for.” He also shared a photo of his younger self before his sober journey in the Instagram post.

The post quickly drew an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists alike. Followers filled the comments with encouragement, celebrating the producer’s strength and influence. “Crazy! Congrats man. Keep inspiring so many!” one fan wrote.

While another praised him as “A Festival Hero.” Others expressed awe at the achievement, adding, “13 years that’s insane congrats bro.” Black’s peers in the electronic music community also stopped by to show love. Ray Volpe chimed in with an enthusiastic “UR INCREDIBLE AND I LOVE YOU,” while Wooli joked, “Guy doesnt age.”

Fellow DJ/producer Blanke added, “Grateful to have the William black we have today. love u bro.” Black has long been open about his mental health journey, weaving themes of healing, survival, and emotional honesty throughout his music.
