Police seeking information regarding a felony assault at Red Rocks

As the search intensifies, police are urging witnesses to help solve the felony assault that has shaken the Red Rocks community.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help after a violent assault at Red Rocks Amphitheater left a concert-goer with severe injuries. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident in a statement on Facebook that was later widely discussed on Reddit, where users expressed frustration over a rise in aggressive behavior at the venue.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the attack occurred on October 22, 2025, during the Martin Garrix concert, when “a victim was struck in the face by an unidentified man after a disagreement over general admission seating in row 24,” their post said. The department said the victim suffered “multiple broken facial bones and a fractured leg.”

Investigators released limited surveillance footage showing individuals believed to be associated with the suspect but acknowledged the images are unclear. The Sheriff’s Office described the person of interest as “an Asian/Pacific Islander adult male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 180 pounds, wearing a striped button-up shirt.”

Because of the low video quality, deputies emphasized the need for eyewitness accounts. “We are specifically looking for eyewitnesses who saw the assault in row 24 on October 22, 2025,” the post said. “If you were in that area, or know someone who was, your information could make the difference.” Anyone with information is urged to contact the JCSO tip line or email the department, referencing case 25-18282.

On Reddit, where the post was reshared, users reacted strongly. One commenter wrote, “Someone doesn’t understand GA and gets to do time for it.” Another noted a decline in concert etiquette: “Sadly, people have become more inconsiderate, entitled, and aggressive at Red Rocks as of late.”

Others were blunter, with one user calling the attackers “These losers bringing violence to Red Rocks.” The investigation remains ongoing as deputies continue seeking witnesses.
