Kaskade releases deeply personal album ‘undux’
Eight-time GRAMMY-nominated producer and electronic dance music legend, Kaskade, officially returns with new album, ‘undux.’
Arriving on Dec. 4 via Arkade and Monstercat, Kaskade’s newest project reigns as one of the most emotionally vulnerable chapters of his career. ‘Undux‘ represents a conscious return to the long-form storytelling that shaped Kaskade’s earlier work.
“I have always enjoyed the process of making an album. Set aside some time, get together with some friends and make music,” said Kaskade. “It always felt like telling a story with chapters and verse… Less emphasis on the crescendo, but really trying to convey an entire mood or idea.”

The early development process of “undux” for Kaskade was neither linear nor easy. Personal challenges pushed him to take a step back rather than force the creative process. It wasn’t until this summer of 2025 that Kaskade finally leaned into an honest and deeply emotional truth, revealing a full album rooted in hope.
On October 16, Kaskade released the era’s first singles, beginning with the upbeat and euphoric “DNCR,” which has already amassed over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Opening the full album is the first track, “Heart Worth Breaking,” a groovy and unique house track featuring guitar licks and deep lyrics in collaboration with Cop Kid. The album also showcases features with Lissa Lohner, Cayson Renshaw, Courtney Storm, MKLA, and more.
Kaskade dives deeper and creates a sound that goes beyond bringing people together on the dance floor. He explores themes of loss and metamorphosis through a new sound that is guaranteed to get you in your feels while you still groove and dance.
“Undux has always been about connection through subtraction. From the string of shows I did to the full-length album, I’ve tried to strip everything to its base layer and understand the beauty of walking through feelings and experiences without getting lost in the reverberations,” said Kaskade. “Undux is a starting point and like with most things in life, it’s not obvious what that start will lead to, but I’m excited to share that journey with my listeners.”
Kaskade’s global sound and legacy have shaped the modern electronic landscape for over two decades. With chart-topping albums and performing at Coachella all the way to the Super Bowl, his career is nothing short of historic. Now with “undux,” the foundation allows him to peel everything back and invite fans inside toward vulnerability and connection.
