Home Bass cancels Orlando event forcing attendees to leave hotel property

Fans have been left scrambling after Home Bass has abruptly canceled its Orlando weekend, turning a festival getaway into chaos.

Home Bass, the Orlando-based hotel festival known for its wild weekend takeovers, abruptly pulled the plug on its event this week, right as guests were checking in. What was supposed to be a weekend of pool parties, stacked DJ lineups, and nonstop after-hours quickly turned into a nightmare when attendees arrived to find out it was all canceled.

Things got messy fast. Fans showed up ready to party, only to be told by hotel staff that Home Bass wasn’t happening and that everyone connected to the event needed to leave. Security reportedly started clearing out guests, and soon the lobby was full of confused ravers with luggage and nowhere to go.

According to multiple reports, the chaos came from a fallout between Home Bass organizers and the host venue, Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa. The hotel apparently cut ties with the event over payment issues, but ticket and hotel packages were still being sold. By the time people got there, the deal had already fallen apart, and the hotel wasn’t allowing anything Home Bass-related to happen.

Organizers posted a short message citing “unforeseen circumstances” and promised refunds, but fans aren’t happy with how it was handled. Many are calling the situation sketchy and want clear answers after dropping hundreds on travel and rooms. So far, there hasn’t been a timeline for when refunds will go out.

Home Bass has been a staple for Florida’s dance community, especially during EDC Orlando weekend. It’s always been a space for ravers to party, connect, and recover all under one roof. Now, it’s unclear if the festival can come back from what’s easily its biggest flop yet.

For fans, the weekend that was supposed to be full of beats, sunshine, and good energy turned into chaos. Instead of pool decks and day parties, they got hotel lobbies, canceled plans, and a major letdown.
