Crankdat announces first-ever Red Rocks show ‘Crankrocks’

Crankdat announces debut Red Rocks performance ‘Crankrocks’ featuring Dr. Fresch, Smoakland, Hershe & Capochino.

Christian Smith, also known as dubstep DJ Crankdat, has reached a new milestone as he recently announced his first ever show at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In his announcement, he shares that he has never even stepped foot on the iconic Colorado venue grounds.

For artists across genres, this venue represents the pinnacle of live performance. This Red Rocks announcement is a culmination of his recent accomplishments. As Crankdat reaches new heights to his musical career, he is bringing alongside an impressive lineup of both up and coming and long time fan favorite artists.

The Crankrocks lineup is nothing short of stacked. Joining Crankdat are Hershe, Capochino, Smoakland, and Dr. Fresch, each bringing their own unique style to the mix. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Capochino reflected on a full-circle moment, sharing a clip of himself in the crowd at a Crankdat show back in 2017. Now, just years later, he’s sharing the same stage for Crankdat’s monumental Red Rocks debut

In a year of firsts, the Red Rocks milestone follows another career-defining announcement. Crankdat is set to headline a show at the Tacoma Dome, dubbed Crankdome just six days before Crackrocks.

Joining him for his debut ‘Crankdome’ show will be A Hundred Drums, Whethan, and Ahee. These two events mark the next chapter in his journey following the success of his Get Cranked Tour, which is currently taking him across the U.S.

With the Get Cranked Tour building massive momentum, the Crankdome and Crankrocks shows now stand as the culmination of his most ambitious year yet. Each show represents not just a celebration of how far Crankdat has come, but also a promise of what’s ahead.

My name is Alejandra Benitez and I was born and raised in the DMV. Having close proximity to Washington D.C. means I am accustomed to a fast paced environment as things are constantly changing. For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively. Some of my favorite artists include Levity, Rezz, Tape B, Disco Lines, and Sub Focus.
