Inside the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj X beef

The feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has reached a fever pitch.

The long-standing feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has explosively resurfaced on X, quickly escalating the rivalry beyond the music industry and historical competition with a series of deeply personal attacks.

The dispute between the two artists has escalated over the past few days, unfolding publicly in real time for fans worldwide. The conflict began after Nicki Minaj publicly mocked Cardi B’s newest album, ‘Am I the Drama?‘ (released September 19, 2025), criticizing its promotional price and sales figures on social media. This initial attack is widely speculated to have been triggered by Cardi B’s new chart achievement: her album not only surpassed Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2‘ but also resulted in her having the most songs simultaneously charting on the Billboard Hot 100.

Defending her name, Cardi B immediately responded, igniting hours of hostile posts between the two Grammy-award-winning rappers. The first retaliation by Cardi B from Nicki Minaj’s social posts, responding that Minaj should compare her numbers to her peers like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake rather than younger artists like herself. Cardi B wrote, “I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”

After a few exchanges, the posts became more personal. These shots fired spiraled into vicious accusations about each other’s personal lives in their children. Minaj had first spoken about Cardi B’s children, including calling her daughter “ugly” and a “monkey.” She also commented on her most recent pregnancy with Stefon Diggs.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists include Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Gorgon City, Prospa :)
