A Jurassic Journey Through Bass and Mayhem: How Lost Lands 2025 Out-Evolved Itself (Again)
Every stage at Lost Lands 2025 pulsed with primal energy, turning Legend Valley into a time-warped realm of bass-fueled chaos.
Lost Lands 2025 was the place to be. From the very first moment I walked through those festival gates, I knew this year was going to be something special. The mainstage loomed ahead—massive, majestic, and glowing like a portal to another dimension. The level of detail and sheer scale of the production was jaw-dropping. I could already tell my next three days were about to be a full-on sensory overload, in the best way possible.
One of the coolest things about Lost Lands is how much they genuinely care about the fan experience. This isn’t just a plug-and-play festival that repeats the same formula each year. Nope. The Excision Presents team listens to feedback and actually implements it. I had multiple veterans of the festival tell me, “You can always expect your experience to be different each year,” and now I get it. From upgraded visuals to better flow and layout, it all felt refined, intentional, and most of all, exciting.

Let’s talk about that mainstage again for a second, because wow. It was just over the top; it was out of this world. The visuals were next-level, the sound was crisp and heavy, and the integration of lasers, pyro, drones, and fireworks was seamless. Seriously, there’s just something magical about bass drops paired with fire cannons. That boom of heat on your face while your favorite track hits? Perfection.
And while last year’s Crater stage already blew people away, somehow, they took it even further this year. It had more lasers than ever before, a deeper sense of immersion thanks to visuals both inside and outside the structure, and screens that pulled you straight into the world of every artist. It felt like a 360-degree spaceship fueled by sub-bass and good vibes.

Another jaw-dropping addition? Tons of drone shows. Choreographed drone performances lit up the night sky. Combined with the fireworks and lights, it gave each evening a truly cinematic ending, as if we were all part of some giant, bass-fueled sci-fi finale, and it was pure serotonin.
Weather-wise, it was HOT, dry, and dusty, but honestly, it was the kind of heat that makes cold drinks taste better and dance circles even more fun. Sure, there was a slight hiccup on Sunday with a short delay, but shoutout to the organizers for turning things around fast. The music picked right back up, and night three came back harder than ever.

As for the music, where do I even start? My top sets of the weekend were a rollercoaster of energy and emotion. Wooli brought pure power, Sullivan King shredded through a rock-infused set that had the crowd losing it, and LSZEE had an amazingly colorful stage presence.
The Mersiv b2b Smoakland set was one of those magical collabs that just clicked. Deep, vibey, and hypnotic. And then Sota came in with the drum & bass heat. Each set had its own personality.
In short, Lost Lands 2025 was a full-blown adventure, one that left me covered in dust, smiling ear to ear, and already counting down the days to next year. From the stage designs to the lineup, the community to the creature-filled atmosphere, this is a festival that continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in live music.
