Inside Charli XCX and George Daniel’s second wedding in Sicily

Charli XCX says “I do” for the second time in Sicily.

On September 13th (or the 14th, depending on sources, which is so on-brand), Charli XCX and George Daniel said “I do,” yet again. This time, the backdrop was a dreamy celebration in sunny, romantic Sicily. This second wedding celebration honored their earlier low-key London civil ceremony, which took place at Hackney Town Hall in July of this year, with a more expansive, festive gathering for friends, family, and celebrity guests.

The wedding took place at Tonnara di Scopello in the village of Scopello, Sicily, best known for its coastal, secluded, Mediterranean charm. Allegedly, the guest list included names like Matty Healy (George’s bandmate), Troye Sivan, Julia Fox, Alex Consani, Emily Ratajkowski, Rachel Sennott, and more. Pre-wedding days, the Sicilian coast witnessed the couple and their closest friends exploring Italy’s streets, dining al fresco, and teasing behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram.

As for the bridal style, Charli stunted in a custom bridal gown by Danielle Frankel. The ethereal dress featured ivory silk chiffon, an internal bustier under a transparent overlay, cascading chiffon ribbons, hand-embroidered organza micro petals, and trailing baroque pearls. Charli paired the gown with white silk pumps and a bouquet of eucalyptus, baby blue blooms, and gypsophila. George complemented the look in a relaxed gray suit, a cream shirt, and black Oxfords. In contrast to their English wedding, Charli and Mr. Charli cleaned up nicely.

And of course, the party didn’t end with vows. The reception morphed into a full celebration. Charli even took over as DJ, wearing a black leather bra top at one point. There were outfit changes (including a strapless white lace look), dancing, crowd surfing, and playful moments that could have been skinny dipping. According to People, the festivities stretched into the morning (as to be expected).

From a wistful onlooker’s perspective, this wasn’t just a wedding. It was a joyous, free-spirited declaration of love. It was part intimate vow, part larger-than-life party, and all authentically Charli.

Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
