Camp Alderwild 2025: A look into the weekend highlights

Bass legend Of The Trees has celebrated the successful debut of his telluride, colorodo festival—Camp Alderwild.

Camp Alderwild burst onto the scene in Telluride, Colorado, against the breathtaking backdrop of the San Juan Mountains. Right away, attendees knew this was something special.  The mornings began with alpine views outside their tents, crisp mountain air, and the inviting presence of locals making newcomers feel at home. The landscape shaped each moment, offering a backdrop so awe-inspiring it demanded that everyone soak it all in.

Rather than being just another festival, Camp Alderwild carved its own path with an honest commitment to sustainability. Compost bins and recycling stations dotted the grounds, while vendors kept waste to a minimum, all coordinated alongside Planet Bluegrass. The effort felt genuine, more a natural extension of the alpine setting than an obligation. Everyone seemed to take pride in leaving the park as pristine as they’d found it.

The music took center stage but never stole the show entirely from the landscape or spirit of the gathering. Of The Trees headlined with sets that ebbed and flowed between riotous energy and intricate melodies. Furthermore, Friday and Saturday delivered a kaleidoscope of sounds: Jade Cicada, Tycho, Ott., and others weaving wildly different textures into the festival’s tapestry. The crowds, caught up in each performance, found their own rhythm beneath the canopy of stars and treetops.

Unexpected magic unfolded far beyond the main stage, too. Fans hopping the gondola up to Heritage Plaza found themselves swept into a surprise Of The Trees and Freddy Todd set. Moreover, afterparties and pop-up sets added unpredictability, keeping curiosity high—nothing felt out of reach, but everything felt exciting.

There was a real sense of belonging, woven from moments of kindness, gratitude, and shared. People learned from each other, whether through workshops, guided plant walks, or simple conversation under aspen trees. At the end of it all, Town Park was left spotless, a reflection of the care and connection that defined the weekend.

If Camp Alderwild aimed to be more than a music festival, it succeeded by reimagining what these gatherings can offer. It stands proof that music, nature, and people are at their best when they meet halfway. Undoubtedly, the Exron team cannot wait for its next edition.
