Lollapalooza sends Dom Dolla a private jet after flight cancelletion ahead of the festival

Lollapalooza has proven its dedication to its artists, as it arranged a private jet for Dom Dolla after a pre-fest flight mishap.

A scramble of epic proportions unfolded ahead of Lollapalooza 2025 as Dom Dolla faced every touring artist’s nightmare: a cancelled transatlantic flight. Just hours before his headlining festival slot and fresh from an Ibiza run, the chart-topping producer found himself stranded on the island.  Given the scarcity of commercial flights to Chicago, festival organizers scrambled to prevent a major scheduling crisis.

Determined not to discourage tens of thousands, Lolla chartered a private jet to whisk Dom across the Atlantic. Dom Dolla flew directly from Ibiza to Chicago, landing just in time to give the crowd a proper “San Frandisco.” Not only did he make his slot, but he shattered attendance records at the Perry’s Stage, allegedly drawing the “biggest crowd ever” on the grounds.

The last-minute rescue is emblematic of a whirlwind year for Dom Dolla. The Melbourne-born, LA-based DJ is undoubtedly amid a colossal upswing. For starters, he has played two sold-out MSG nights and launched a record-breaking tour across Australia. Additionally, he appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone AU/NZ, making history as the first-ever solo electronic artist to do so. Dom’s schedule remains relentless: festival headliner, Ibiza resident, and soon, the architect of a stadium spectacular at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium this December.

On the musical front, Dom Dolla’s catalog has now soared past 1 billion streams. Recents include the Kid Cudi collab “Forever” and the cinematic “No Room For a Saint” for the F1 film soundtrack. Furthermore, he’s up for another Grammy nomination and was also crowned Global Artist at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards.

This whirlwind episode at Lollapalooza has certainly demonstrated the global demand for Dom Dolla’s grooves and commanding energy. For Dom, the only way is clearly up—and in this case, in a private jet.
