A guide to all of Insomniac’s festivals around the world

Insomniac has made itself a Tried and true global brand—here’s a look at it’s massive reach.

Insomniac has become one of the most robust festival organizers around the world. With a wingspan that has stretched to five different continents, they have firmly established themselves in the EDM community. As Pasquale Rotella got his start in 1993, he and the group have come a long way since then.

In North America, the festival that has garnered the most recognition is Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas, a colorful and vibrant affair for music lovers. In the greater Los Angeles area, Hard Summer, Escape Halloween, and Nocturnal Wonderland have etched themselves clearly in EDM lore. Moreover, EDC Mexico – an extension of the EDC subset – has galvanized large swaths of people over the years for good music and scenic vistas.

Traveling down a bit further, Insomniac has shown a presence in South American countries as well. Notably, Insomniac has celebrated both Beyond Wonderland Colombia and Dreamstate Brazil. Though Buenos Aires has yet to have an official festival, the group has hosted some events in the Argentine capital.

Using the Dreamstate umbrella, Australia has seen an Insomniac presence since 2018. The Dreamstate festival has encouraged many people to enjoy both good music and good weather. Australia, home to many EDM artists, has become a prime location to host events.

In Asia, the festival organizers have provided events under the EDC brand name as well. Specifically, they have hosted both EDC Japan and EDC China, but those events have halted since the Pandemic. Like Argentina, there are Insomniac-hosted events in places like Thailand.

Lastly – though certainly not least – Europe has experienced a fair share of these sorts of events, most notably Dreamstate Europe. Expectedly, Insomniac has its hand in the Ibiza and Berlin clubs. With almost three decades of curation, Insomniac has grown immensely and has showered EDM all over the world.
