Tiësto to perform rare trance set at Dreamstate SoCal this fall
Tiësto continues to take it back to trance as Dreamstate SoCal reveals a star-packed 10th anniversary lineup with him as the headliner.
Dreamstate keeps growing at an exponential rate, as Insomniac unveiled its 2025 lineup in SoCal this fall, and fans have been buzzing since legendary DJ Tiësto has been confirmed to play a special trance set. Since launching in 2015, Dreamstate has welcomed trance lovers from across the globe and continues the longtime genre that gives fans the emotional feels and the madness it brings. This milestone edition is set to take place November 21–22 at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach to celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary.
Over the past week, Insomniac has revealed wave after wave of impressive acts from psytrance to melodic techno, culminating with Tiësto’s return to his trance roots. Having recently stunned crowds with his In Search Of Sunrise set at EDC Las Vegas, Tiësto has reignited excitement among longtime fans eager to see him revisit the genre that first made him an icon and inspired other artists with his performance at the 2004 Olympics.
Dreamstate SoCal has also assembled a stacked roster of trance heavyweights who have carried the name for years, as they had for A State of Trance. Names like Paul Van Dyk, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Ferry Corsten, Aly and Fila, Paul Oakenfold, Ilan Bluestone and John O’Callaghan, and Mark Sherry have secured their spots on the poster, anticipating to throw a spectacular performance.
Festivalgoers have also been promised unique experiences like Ben Nicky’s Emotional Havoc and Gareth Emery’s cinematic Cyberpunk show. Two special classic sets from Chicane and Jeffrey Sutorius, plus psytrance titans Astrix, Freedom Fighters, Omiki, and Vini Vici, have added more layers of excitement.

Beyond trance, Dreamstate SoCal has brought in artists to blur genre lines, including Argy, Miss Monique, Cristoph b2b Innellea, Victor Ruiz, Eli & Fur, Ben Hemsley, Lilly Palmer, Space 92, and Maddix, who have broadened the event’s sonic palette. The blend of progressive house, techno, and melodic sounds has kept fans begging for more.
As Dreamstate SoCal has cemented its reputation as a second pilgrimage for trance in the United States, this 10th anniversary edition has promised to blend nostalgia with forward-thinking sets. Tickets go on sale July 17, and anticipation has already reached a fever pitch.
