Madonna to finally release long-rumored ‘Veronica Electronica’ EDM Remix Album

Madonna has announced the release of the long-awaited EDM Remix album titled “Veronica Electronica’ set to release just in time for summer.

Madonna is making a comeback this summer, not with new tracks for the dancefloor but by releasing a long-hidden treasure from her collection. On July 25, 2025, the Queen of Pop will finally launch “Veronica Electronica,” an eight-track remix album that was first envisioned in 1998 as a companion piece to her trailblazing LP, “Ray of Light.” The project was quietly set aside due to the overwhelming success of its original material, but nearly thirty years later, it’s ready to transform EDM nostalgia with a new sonic perspective.

Inspired by Madonna’s deep exploration of electronic music alongside William Orbit, “Veronica Electronica” acts as both a tribute to that period and a daring reimagining. The album showcases rare and previously unheard remixes from prominent figures in the industry such as Peter Rauhofer, Sasha, BT, Victor Calderone, and Orbit himself.

Beginning this June, Madonna shared “Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)” as a teaser for what’s to come, raising expectations with its rich, layered sound and trance-like rhythm. The carefully selected tracks span the “Ray of Light” repertoire, featuring new remixes of “Drowned World/Substitute for Love,” “Ray of Light,” “Frozen,” “Nothing Really Matters,” “Sky Fits Heaven,” “The Power of Goodbye,” and “Skin.” Most notably, it includes “Gone, Gone, Gone,” a previously unreleased demo created during the original sessions with Rick Nowels, making its debut on this album.

The outcome is a remix package that remains true to its origins while injecting fresh, club-ready energy. The design of the album’s packaging is as thoughtfully crafted as its musical content. Madonna’s team has announced that the album will be available on digital platforms, along with a collectible limited-edition “Silver Collection” vinyl pressing.

Vinyl pre-orders will be accessible through Madonna’s official website and Rhino, complete with exclusive mylar lithographs, making the album a collectible for both audiophiles and devoted fans. It also arrives amid her creative resurgence, fueled by new music expected in “Confessions Part 2” and a Netflix limited series about her life produced with Shawn Levy.

At 66, Madonna continues to be restless and innovative. With “Veronica Electronica,” she is finally bringing one of her most daring visions to light. This remix album, with its respectful approach to “Ray of Light,” offers EDM enthusiasts a rich journey through Madonna’s electronic era, integrating nostalgia, unreleased history, and a renewed passion for the dancefloor.
