Sebastian Ingrosso celebrates one year of sobriety

Sebastian Ingrosso has made it to his first ‘birthday.’

Sebastian Ingrosso has celebrated one year of sobriety. In a heart-rending Instagram post, the Swedish DJ has admitted to the struggles and blockades he overcame to reach this point. Moreover, he has acknowledged that this is only the very beginning of his sober journey.

In powerful form, Ingross wrote, “I chose to fight for my life, my family, and my future.” While the artist has undoubtedly taken the brunt of this on himself, he has felt the support from many others. While the comment section is disabled on his Instagram, it’s safe to imagine that it would be flooded with love.

Ingrosso has been a part of the music scene for well over two decades, shaping EDM in his own distinct manner. In 2008, he started Swedish House Mafia with Axwell and Steve Angello, which has since established them as some of the greats of music. When “Don’t You Worry Child” arrived in 2012, it was a crescendoing moment in their career. 

Moreover, he has seen many stages and festivals over the course of his illustrious career. He has played his music at places like Tomorrowland, Coachella, Creamfields, and much more. Swedish House Mafia has left its imprint time and time again for years on end.

The group even had a collaboration with The Weeknd, showing another angle of their depth. Evidently, Sebastian Ingrosso has made himself not only one of the great musicians of this time, but also one of the great collaborators. With much life left, it will be interesting to see how much farther he can go.

With his one year of sobriety, Sebastian Ingrosso has cleared the path for himself that much more. Hopefully, this monumental change in his life will open the floodgates for future music.
