Insomniac donates $200K in plants and trees from EDC Las Vegas

Insomniac has donated back to the Las Vegas community following the recent edition of EDC 2025.

Insomniac has donated about $200,000 in plants and trees to the Las Vegas community after EDC. Throughout the week, hundreds of trees have new homes, all thanks to EDC organizers. This is the fifth year in a row the team, along with Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, has worked together to give back to the community.

On the Tuesday after the festival, a plant recycling event took place within the festival. At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, local community members had the chance to select from a range of plants and trees that were used at the EDC festival over the weekend.

The giveaway occurs over three days, and those who participate are able to select up to three plants to take home. The only catch is that the people who take the trees must be able to transfer the items home themselves. The plant recycling event is a highly anticipated event and has done wonderful work giving back to the community.

Following the footsteps of Ultra Music Festival, another festival that focuses on environmental responsibility and positive change, EDC also now has a notable reputation for hosting sustainable events throughout the year.

The Ultra sustainability program, known as Mission: Home, aims to bring awareness to environmental consciousness among attendees. This past year, the program has earned global recognition as a leader in sustainability. Mission: Home inspired festival goers to participate in eco-friendly and conscious practices both inside and outside the festival grounds

Initiatives like Ultra’s sustainability program and EDC’s plant recycling event are crucial to keeping the local communities where the festivals are held. For more information on the other programs Insomniac hosts, make sure to check out Insomniac Cares to get involved.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists include Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Gorgon City, Prospa :)
