Marquee to host summer concert pop-up series on Sky deck at Edge NYC
Marquee nightclub in NYC will host a summer series on the EDGE sky deck from late May onwards.
The New York City club, Marquee, has announced they are beginning a new summer series atop the Edge sky deck in the City. Marquee, one of the more tenured clubs in the city, is a rite of passage for many ravers in their early years. Having hosted some of the biggest names in the 2010s to current sold-out events, the expansion into a curated summer series marks a new era for the venue in an iconic city location with an incredible view of downtown Manhattan.
Marquee announced the news on social media, writing in the caption of their Instagram reel, “Introducing the Marquee Skydeck Summer Pop-Up at @edgenyc! Nightlife hits new heights starting May 31st. Tickets on sale now MarqueeNY.com.” The first two artists announced are Carlita, for the preview party to happen on May 16th, and the grand opening featuring Maceo Plex on May 31st. The other artists have yet to be announced, but Marquee has announced multiple other dates for the sky deck listed on their website until the end of June.
The Chelsea neighborhood-based club is owned by Tao Hospitality, with a sister venue in Las Vegas located inside The Cosmopolitan hotel. The new venue at the Edge is high above the hustle and bustle of Madison Square Garden, with whom they are neighbors. In the clouds, the new venue space is on the 100th floor, and over 1000 feet above street level.
The observatory deck faces downtown with pristine views (on a clear day) of downtown, having full visibility from West 30th Street to One World Trade. The Edge’s website announces this partnership with Marquee and Tao, writing that the “summer pop-up from Tao Group Hospitality, brings top-tier DJs and the legendary Marquee energy to Edge.” Tickets are available on Marquee and The Edge‘s websites.
