Brooklyn Mirage cancels second week of shows due to ongoing construction delays

Brooklyn Mirage has canceled its second week of shows in May 2025, marking another setback in its ongoing construction delays following a failed city inspection. The venue, part of Avant Gardner’s 80,000-square-foot complex in East Williamsburg, was set to unveil its third design iteration this year, featuring a 270-degree 30K-resolution LED wall and new lounges. However, permitting issues have delayed the reopening, impacting performances by Loud Luxury and Cloonee, after an earlier cancellation of Sara Landry’s show on May 1.
Loud Luxury’s May 9 show has been postponed to August 2 at Brooklyn Mirage, with tickets automatically rolled over. Fans unable to attend can request a full refund via DICE at dice.fm/refund. Cloonee’s day and night shows on May 10 have been relocated to Brooklyn Storehouse, with all DICE-purchased tickets remaining valid for the new venue. “We sincerely apologize and appreciate your continued patience as we work toward opening the Brooklyn Mirage,” the venue stated, echoing sentiments from its earlier cancellations.
Since its debut in 2015 as a pop-up with Cityfox, Brooklyn Mirage has grown into a premier nightlife destination, hosting EDM giants like Black Coffee and Tiësto. Its 2025 redesign, led by new CEO Josh Wyatt, aimed to elevate the experience with a “higher pixel definition than the sphere,” but safety concerns and a history of permitting issues—like those in 2017 over liquor licenses and evacuation plans—have stalled progress. These Brooklyn Mirage construction delays have also put the venue’s liquor license at risk, adding to the challenges.
With the Mirage’s absence, venues like Elsewhere, Brooklyn Storehouse, and Knockdown Center will continue to host headlining acts in the meantime. Elsewhere is set to welcome artists like SKREAM and Cosmic Gate, while Knockdown Center is hosting Charlotte De Witte in the coming weeks, ensuring destinations for New York City EDM concertgoers.
