Calvin Harris teases return to house music with new single anticipated to be ‘the track of the summer’
Has Calvin Harris just teased the song of the summer?
Calvin Harris has shared on social media a snippet of his brand new single, which is anticipated to drop early summer. It has already been deemed as ‘the track of the summer’ by many due to its upbeat sound and the legacy Calvin Harris has for dropping soundtracks for sunny days.
This will be the second release that Harris has dropped in 2025. This follows the release of his song, “SMOKE THE PAIN AWAY,” released mid-march. Before this, the last single the Grammy-award winning electronic dance producer had released was a collaboration with none other than dance music vocalist Ellie Goulding, with their track, “Free.”
Many of Harris’s DJ friends and colleagues shared their excitement along with eager fans about this summer track. Artists like David Guetta, Hardwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sonny Fodera, and Morten, along with many others who have a warm embrace of the new track.
Although there has been no release date announced quite yet, rest assured that it will come sooner than you think. It seems as though Harris is preparing for a summer tour. Although he has not officially announced these shows, his website suggests that he will be touring this summer, as it reads, “shows announced soon.”

As of April 28th, Calvin Harris has generated 28.69 billion in total streams on Spotify. This is a testament to how everything he touches is gold. He is known to be a producer who creates iconic soundtracks that have continued to stay top of the charts throughout the decade. Some of these tracks that contribute to most of his streams are “We Found Love,” featuring Rihanna, “Outside” with Ellie Goulding, “Summer”, and “Feel So Close,” all individually surpassing 1 billion streams.
