Okeechobee confirms 2026 festival dates
After a two-year hiatus, Okeechobee Music Festival has announced it will return to Sunshine Grove, Florida in 2026, welcoming fans back to the portal.
Okeechobee Music Festival has confirmed that it will return to Sunshine Grove, Florida, in 2026 after a two-year hiatus. The 2026 edition of the festival, following the theme of “Be Here Now,” will go on presale on April 17th. The 2026 Okeechobee Music Festival also marks the decade anniversary of its inaugural festival in 2016. Sunshine Grove will host the Okeechobee Music Festival again on its beautiful grounds, which feature lakes, palmetto and pine trees, and natural flora and fauna. When the festival creators started Okeechobee Music Festival in 2016, they aimed to create a sanctuary from normal life, a portal of sorts.
The website writes, “When we first started the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, the guiding principle and rule was just that simple. OMF was intended as a sanctuary, a place to escape the weight of everyday life. The natural paradise of Sunshine Grove – from the grassy meadowlands and secret forests to the expansive groves and picturesque lakes – became the ideal setting for our vision of a community connected through music, art, and unbridled joy.” Set in the natural beauty of South Florida, the festival has become the escape that many need for the past decade.
Despite the two-year hiatus and a year off during the pandemic, the festival has remained steadfast in their mission, with fans remaining steadfast in their support. “Our mission doesn’t end when the music stops. We strive to be a positive presence in the local community 365 days a year.” From helping Big Brothers Big Sisters, Healthy Start, Okeechobee is also deeply committed to “combating food insecurity, supporting veterans and victims of domestic violence, and providing mentorship for the local youth.”
As a premier music and arts festival, Okeechobee states they are “a sanctuary free from the restrictions and concerns of everyday life, where the only rule is to Be, Here, Now. The artists who grace our stages year after year reflect and inspire that sense of belonging and transcendence no matter the genre. All corners of the musical universe converge in South Florida, and collide to create something bigger and better than you could ever imagine.” Previous performers at the festival have included Rufus Du Sol, GRiZ, Porter Robinson, Tame Impala, Odesza, Skrillex, and Flume. The lineup for Okeechobee 2026 is not yet available, but tickets are ready for purchase.
