Kayzo shows off amazing weight loss transformation after dropping 30 pounds

Kayzo has spoken up about his 30-pound weight loss transformation as he gears up for his upcoming Unleashed XL Tour.

Kayzo took to Instagram this week to share a profoundly personal update about his recent weight loss transformation and renewed energy for his music career. The LA-based DJ/producer revealed that he had struggled physically last year, which motivated him to begin his fitness journey. By focusing on portion control, no alcohol, and a rigorous gym routine, Kayzo has shed 30 pounds since January 1. “Being able to hold myself accountable every day has renewed that spark and drive in me on all levels,” he wrote.

Before becoming a household name in electronic music, the Houston-born artist played hockey throughout his youth. His rise in the EDM scene came soon after he transitioned to music production in 2012. An Icon Collective graduate, Kayzo gained recognition for his unique combination of hardstyle, dubstep, and rock theatrics elements.

The timing of Kayzo’s transformation aligns with the launch of his “Unleashed XL Tour,” which kicked off on April 11 in Minneapolis. Known for his high-energy live performances, Kayzo is bringing his signature bass-heavy beats and rock-inspired vibes back to North America. The tour features collaborations with artists like Infekt B2B Samplifire, Vastive, Nimda, and Dennett.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kayzo’s personal life has also been a source of inspiration for fans. He is engaged to Canadian DJ/vocalist Cray, whose relationship is deemed the ultimate “couple goals” among their followers. The couple’s creative synergy first made it to the mainstage in 2022 when Kayzo brought Cray out during his EDC Vegas set, and will also go B2B on his Unleashed XL Tour.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
