Gryffin reveals major mistake that occurred during Ultra Miami mainstage set

Gryffin explains what really happened during his mainstage performance at Ultra Music Festival on Sunday in Miami.

Gryffin comes forth with an explanation regarding his Ultra Miami Music Festival performance. The performance was recorded via live stream for at-home listeners, but later, Gryffin found the audio was not the same as the live audience’s. In fact, the live-stream listeners heard Gryffin‘s cues, instead of what was playing out of the speakers for those attending in person.

What does that mean for at-home listeners? It means that they got to peek into the mixing world from Gryffn‘s point of view and confirmed the performance was, in fact, live. Listening from Gryffin‘s headphones, those listening from home could hear the transitions behind the scenes.

Moreover, those who attended Ultra Music Festival know Sunday’s activities came with pouring rain. With delayed set times, and even flooding, Ultra found a way to make the show go on. Despite the weather, Gryffin says this show was “one of the highest energy shows Ive ever played”. The playback is available on YouTube, where Gryffin was able to fix the audio.

Gryffin‘s fanbase got a true behind-the-scenes view of his thought process when mixing. His performance and choices were seen from a whole other point of view. It was getting insight into his unfiltered thought process before the audience could hear it perfected.

Gryffin’s mainstage performance at Ultra Music Festival is full of high energy, beautiful melodies, and an engaged audience. Gryffin says “Yesterday was one of the craziest, most fun and stressful days, but WOW was it ever rewarding.”.

Gryffin adds “I saw so much love and support today and its means the world to me” and “Thank you to the Ultra team for keeping it going (literally as water poured down from the roof of the stage onto the mixer). It’s a memory I will never forget”. Gryffin’s fans and Ultra attendees can put their stamp of approval on the 25-year legacy.
