Skrillex’s journey with Atlantic began with his 2010 breakout Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, which won multiple Grammys and redefined EDM. His evolution—from dubstep pioneer to pop collaborator with artists like Lady Gaga on “Plastic Doll” (2020) and Ty Dolla $ign on “Timeless” (web ID:3)—culminates in this release. It’s a testament to his genre-defying legacy. Frequent collaborator Virtual Riot, featured on tracks like “While You Were Sleeping VIP,” has been a key partner in recent years, pushing Skrillex’s sound into new realms. The album’s closing track, “AZASU,” even pays homage to an unknown graffiti artist, tying into its Andy Warhol-inspired title.

This release marks a new chapter for Sonny as he parts ways with Atlantic, delivering the surprise Skrillex album via Dropbox to email subscribers, the culmination of a cryptic campaign of short releases over recent months through Skrillex.com/FUS (web ID:1). With OWSLA now independent, fans are eager to see how he’ll shape electronic music’s future, especially after teasing more projects on X. Listeners can stream FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3* on all platforms and keep updated on his next moves at Skrillex.com/FUS.
