Madeon to debut ‘brand new era’ at Red Rocks this October
French DJ Madeon will play Red Rocks come October, and the internet is rejoicing.
Hugo Leclercq, better known as the international superstar Madeon, recently shared an exciting tour update. The French musician announced that he has been slotted for a Red Rocks show come October, solidifying his stance as a globally recognized DJ and championing his Grammy-winning release Good Faith. Red Rocks, an amphitheater carved into the mountains of Boulder, Colorado, has been known to host some of the industry’s most legendary artists and movers and shakers.
Red Rocks has hosted some of the biggest names in EDM, such as REZZ, Flume, Odesza, Skrillex, John Summit, Diplo, and more. Beyond EDM, however, Red Rocks has hosted artists like Stevie Nicks, Jimmy Buffet, Sting, U2, Grateful Dead, Willie Nelson, and The Beatles. Needless to say, it’s one of the most iconic venues in North America and offers an outdoorsy, unique experience.
“I’m introducing a brand new era at Red Rocks,” mused Madeon. “Join us October 3rd for the premiere of a new live show, new music, new Madeon.” The artist presale began on Friday, March 26th, and will continue until the general release tranche in a few weeks. Although Madeon announced his forthcoming performance at Red Rocks, he declined to share insight into the opening acts, which will be announced closer to the show date.
Fans gushed over Madeon’s big announcement. The well-known EDM blog, Dancing Astronaut, commented, I used to pray for times like this,” receiving nearly 250 likes. Other artists like Porter Robinson, Louis the Child, Kill the Noise, and Kayzo also jumped in to hype up their friend and show support for a fellow DJ, championing their successes.
Madeon’s career began in 2011 as a teenager. Now, as an internationally acclaimed artist with numerous number one hits on Billboards, he is a force to be recounted with, a star with a future so bright.
