Okeechobee Music Festival teases 2026 return
Will Okeechobee return in 2026?
Okeechobee Music Festival, a camping festival just beyond the city limits of Orlando, FL, quickly grew a loyal following after its launch in 2016. In its debut year, the festival touted performances by Bassnectar, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, and Mumford & Sons. Throughout the years, it has hosted artists such as Usher, Arcade Fire, Rufus Du Sol, Excision, Odessa, Tame Impala, Flume, Porter Robinson, Travis Scott, and many more. From 2016 onward, Okeechobee continued strong (with a brief hiatus in 2021 due to covid), however, the production team announced an indefinite suspension shortly after the 2023 festival – but is Okeechobee returning in 2026?
Okeechobee Music Festival’s social media accounts remained pretty dark for the majority of 2023 and 2024, but the festival’s Instagram features new rumblings of a 2026 return. The Instagram account has recently ramped up its posting and shared a cryptic, trippy video of a sunrise in Okeechobee with the caption, “Something special…” The video depicted an incredible sunrise over palm trees and a lake as clouds covertly formed the numbers “2026” across the horizon.
In a prior post, the Instagram account also shared a photo series captioned, “Sign up for our Portal Newsletter (link in bio!) ASAP if you haven’t already… we’ve got big news coming!” In the post before that, the caption was similar, teasing fans about a potential reboot. “What better place to see all our friends at once than Sunshine Grove. On this day [two] years ago, we were dancing and vibing till the sunrise. Let’s do it again soon, [yeah]?”
In all of Okeechobee’s cryptic comeback posts, fans have been gushing with unbridled excitement at the potential return. Fans posted memes in the comments of sports teams screaming, ”Let’s go!” and referenced outpourings of emotions. As anticipation builds through each social media post, the potential return of the Okeechobee Music Festival in 2026 seems to spark hope for unforgettable memories once more. With its rich history of top-notch performances and its vibrant community, this beloved festival may be poised to make a triumphant comeback, inviting everyone to once again revel in the magic of music and connection at Sunshine Grove.
