Ministry of Sound suffers significant damages following illegal break-in rave

Statements have been released after Ministry of Sound’s recent illegal break-in rave.

Ministry of Sound shares the venue has been broken into and is now suffering damages and the loss of some equipment. Noted as a “serious” break-in with groups of people spray painting and launching confetti cannons for their unauthorized rave. Videos were posted online and some comments note it took almost 2 hours for the party to get shut down.

Additionally, posts on Instagram show groups of people walking to the iconic South London venue and throwing a party on the dance floor. There is footage of beer and spray paint cans piling up the sinks in the girls bathroom and people spray painting the mirrors. There are more videos of people running out of the venue when the party was finally shutting down.

As expected, the damages are substantial. Ministry of Sound states the break-in occurred Wednesday earlier this week, but confirmed the “show must go on”. Their doors opened over the weekend with additional security measures in check.

Ministry of Sound has been a staple in the house and dance music scene since the early 90’s. Known for being one of the first places dedicated to house music with a stellar sound system and plenty of room for dancing. A nightclub staple in South London that curates a unique experience that everyone should witness at least once.
