Sia and husband Dan Bernard file for divorce less than a year after welcoming child together
Sia has filed for divorce from her husband, calling it quits after two years of marriage and shortly after welcoming a child together.
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sia has filed for divorce from her second husband, Dan Bernard. Married in December 2022, the couple shares an 11-month-old child named Somersault Wonder. Sia is seeking legal and physical custody but is open to granting visitation rights to Dan Bernard. In addition to her biological child, Sia is also a mother to two sons she adopted in 2019 before they aged out of foster care.
The divorce news is surprising, given that Sia had not publicly announced her pregnancy before the birth of Somersault Wonder. The couple held an intimate wedding ceremony in May 2023 at the Dolce & Gabbana Villa in Portofino, Italy.

Sia’s career has seen countless artistic achievements, including in the electronic music scene. She rose to fame with her sixth studio album ‘1000 Forms of Fear,’ debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 in 2014. Furthermore, the album included her hit single “Chandelier,” which became a global sensation and showcased her powerful vocals. Sia has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Rihanna on “Diamonds” and David Guetta on “Titanium.” Moreover, news has recently surfaced that her and Guetta will reunite for their first collab since 2018.
In recent years, Sia has continued to push boundaries in her music and beyond. She released her tenth studio album ‘Reasonable Woman’ in May 2024 and has vigorously advocated for animal rights. Moreover, her directorial debut “Music” in 2021 sparked significant dialogue about autism and caregiving.

Sia’s personal life has faced challenges, including a previous divorce from Erik Anders Lang in 2016. She has spoken openly about the emotional toll, which led to a period of severe depression. However, she has since found grounding in her music and continues to inspire fans with her unmatchable talent and artistic vision.
Sia has requested to terminate spousal support for Dan Bernard, indicating that there may be a prenuptial agreement in place. As the legal process unfolds, Sia remains focused on her music and her role as a mother to her children. Exron sends her all the love and support during this transitional period!
