Carl Cox to debut new live show ‘Evolution’ at Ultra Miami

Carl Cox will unveil his new fully live, immersive music experience ‘Evolution’ at Ultra Miami’s Resistance stage for 25th anniversary.

Carl Cox is taking his Ultra Miami performance to the next level. On March 29, he will debut “EVOLUTION,” a fully live show that redefines how dance music is experienced. Instead of mixing pre-recorded tracks, he will build the music from scratch using drum machines, synthesizers, and sequencers, shaping every sound in real time.

The performance is about more than just playing music, it’s about creating a deeper connection with the crowd. “EVOLUTION” takes away distractions and focuses on the raw energy of the music. Every beat, bassline, and melody will be crafted live, turning the entire stage into a living, breathing instrument.

Cox describes the show as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. “With “EVOLUTION” I want to take people on a journey, a unified moment in time that will never happen the same way ever again,” he states. This is not about spectacle or special effects, it’s about letting the music speak for itself.

Ultra Music Festival’s Resistance Megastructure Stage is the ideal setting for Carl Cox to kick off this next chapter. As the global ambassador of Resistance, Ultra’s dedicated house and techno concept, he has played a major role in shaping its legacy. After stepping away from Ultra last year, he is making a powerful return to close out the stage for the festival’s 25th anniversary.

As one of dance music’s most respected artists, Cox has always been about innovation. “EVOLUTION” is his way of bringing dance music back to its roots of being pure and full of energy. He’s inviting fans to experience the thrill of discovery, just like in the early days of raves and underground clubs.

This isn’t just another festival set—it’s an invitation to reconnect with the dancefloor. When Carl Cox takes the stage at Ultra, he won’t just be performing; he’ll be creating something that will never be repeated the same way again.

Hey everyone, I'm Neil! I first joined the dance community back in 2019 when my friend dragged me to Moonrise, my first-ever music festival, and I became hooked ever since. I like to dabble in most genres with my favorites being tech house and melodic techno. When it comes to studio output, Camelphat is part of my daily listening rotation and for a live performance, I'll never miss a Solomun set. You can likely catch me on the dance floor somewhere in Brooklyn!
