For anyone who’s ever experienced an ODESZA show, you know it’s nothing short of magic. The lights, the visuals, the way everything feels larger than life, it all happens because of people like Shane Crow, working behind the scenes to make sure the vision becomes reality. But beyond the logistics and technical precision, Shane brought heart and dedication to everything he touched.

“He was (and will always be), an absolutely integral part of ODESZA,” the duo wrote about Shane Crow. “We really don’t have the words to express how incredible he was as a person. The amount that we learned from him about the live music production world is immeasurable, but more than that, the amount we learned from him about how to carry ourselves every day will be with us forever… The world feels a bit dimmer without the light Shane brought everywhere,” ODESZA added. “I’m sending love to everyone that knew him, as even a brief interaction left a lasting impression.”

Shane wasn’t just a key figure for ODESZA; he was a legend in the live music industry. His career saw him working with some of the biggest names across genres—Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey, A$AP Rocky, Tiësto, and more. A mentor and leader, he was known for balancing creativity with technical mastery, ensuring every show exceeded expectations.

Fans and friends flooded the comments, sharing their own memories and gratitude for Shane’s influence. “He helped me find my way, even if for a short amount of time. Thanks, Shane. Will never forget you,” one wrote. Another called him “a legend forever.”

I've been writing, covering events, and doing interviews with Exron for nearly four years, but have been an EDM-lover for over a decade. The music community and industry has a special place in my heart and I love exploring the depths. EDC Las Vegas is my favorite festival and this year will be my sixth time attending. Some other recent festivals I've been are Ultra, Elements, Lost Lands, Electric Forest, and Arc. I've been getting more into experimental bass, but techno and house will always have my heart. <3
