Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens are prepared to drop the most iconic techno collaboration ‘One Mind’ EP this Thursday, February 6th. The highly anticipated EP will consist of two tracks – ‘One Mind’, the title track, and ‘Where Do We Go’. Fans are eagerly waiting to hear the two top female techno DJs and producers’ fusion of creativity come to life.
On Instagram, Charlotte de Witte posted “It’s hard to put in words how much this means for both of us.” and “We tried to create two tracks that represent us and blend our sonic identities together.”. Amelie and Charlotte de Witte have a packed weekend with performances set for January 31st and February 1st, another for February 8th. It is possible the pair may have teased their upcoming release at the Flanders Expo in Belgium over the weekend.
According to DJ Mag, Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens are the top two female techno DJs in their ranking. Charlotte de Witte took home #1 multiple times in her ever-growing career. An interview from ADE hints this EP collaboration has been in the works as early as September, 2024. Only a few months later does the announcement for the upcoming EP release hit the public.
The two techno titans have a paralleled career, both headlining stages on their own and consistently releasing music. Amelie Lens expresses how she wishes the constant comparing between Charlotte and her will stop. Hopefully, with the release of this EP, fans will stop comparing and start embracing them as a whole.
Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens are both from Belgium. It makes complete sense that the pair is debuting their upcoming EP at their stomping grounds. The two entrepreneurs also have their own record labels, Charlotte de Witte with KNTXT and Amelie Lens with EXHALE.
To add, both of these performers are recognized globally. Performing at local venues and some of the biggest festivals in the world. The energy and unique style they bring individually will show greatly in their upcoming collaborating EP, ‘One Mind’.
