Producer Sakuro says PYKE stole his music and can prove it
Sakuro has accused fellow bass artist PYKE of stealing and reselling their patches, with an extensive document of proof.
In posts on X this week, dubstep producer Sakuro has accused PYKE of reselling Sakuro’s patches and passing them off as their own. In their first post, Sakuro wrote, “if you steal and resell my patches its so easy to instantly tell. it hurts so much that i cant call out someone huge doing it to me but reselling stuff from my pack that was made to help cover my hospital debt is messed up.” In a second post, the artist did end up calling the person out after all, providing a link to a google document full of evidence that PYKE resold Sakuro’s combinator and denied it afterwards.
The document provides a link to a short video that shows “the meat of the allegations” for those that don’t want to go too far down the rabbit hole. It then sets the scene for the document, claiming it is not a “lame attempt at clout chasing” or “an attempt to ‘cancel’ PYKE,’ among other things. It then asserts that the document will lay out a timeline of the events in question, complete with screenshots and other evidence across “multiple months.”
Eight events are included in the timeline, culminating with the post on X and PYKE deleting his Patreon account subsequently. Several screenshots of communications between Sakuro and PYKE are included, with the name and profile picture of PYKE, who wears a mask during performances and photos, covered up. A screenshot of a PYKE production Twitch stream is also included, showing that PYKE does indeed have Sakuros’s combinator pack, along with examples of exactly the patch elements in question.
PYKE has posted on X today to clear the air, letting fans know that “Sakuro and I have spoken and we have squared everything away… this was a huge mistake… to all my fans and fellow producers I’m sorry.” Sakuro posted shortly thereafter saying that they are “glad and thankful we’ve patched things up now.”
