Netflix hosting Squid Game 2: The Rave at Drumsheds in London with Peggy Gou as headliner
Peggy Gou and Squid Game guards bring the hype to London’s Drumsheds with a new show concept.
Netflix is setting the stage for the much-anticipated return of its hit series ‘Squid Game’ with a one-of-a-kind event in London. On December 18, the streaming platform will host ‘Squid Game 2: The Rave’ at the sprawling Drumsheds venue. This immersive rave experience will be headlined by globally acclaimed South Korean DJ and producer Peggy Gou, who will be joined by a stellar lineup of talent. The event is designed to generate buzz ahead of the show’s second season, premiering on Netflix on December 26.
Peggy Gou shared the news with her fans via Instagram, posting a teaser video crafted exclusively for the event. The clip opens with three masked figures, eerily reminiscent of the guards from the series, encountering Gou in a dimly lit hallway. They hand her a gift, which she opens with a knowing smile. The scene quickly transitions into a kaleidoscope of electrifying music and rave-inspired visuals, perfectly embodying the high-energy spirit of the upcoming event.
In addition to Gou, the lineup features two standout artists from the Asian electronic music scene: Mogwaa and Yu Su. Mogwaa, a Seoul-based DJ and producer, has spent over a decade refining his craft. He also co-founded the dance music label Walls And Pals, showcasing his dedication to the genre. Yu Su, a Chinese-Canadian DJ and producer, discovered her passion for electronic music while studying in Vancouver. Since then, she has made a name for herself in the global music scene, founding the bié label and earning praise for her experimental sounds.
The groundbreaking Squid Game series, created by South Korean filmmaker Hwang Dong-hyuk, took the world by storm when it debuted in 2021. Its gripping narrative follows 456 contestants mired in debt as they compete in childhood-inspired games for a chance to win ₩45.6 billion. However, the stakes are deadly, and each game reveals deeper layers of desperation, morality, and class struggle.
By blending the show’s ominous themes with the vibrant energy of a rave, Netflix creates a unique celebration that bridges the worlds of entertainment and music. With a venue as atmospheric as Drumsheds and a lineup of cutting-edge talent, “Squid Game 2: The Rave’ is poised to leave a lasting impression on fans and music lovers alike
